1. Gender
Female students predominated. The female to male student ratio was 2.5:1
2. Age
Participant students had a mean age of 26.1 yrs (median:24.9 yrs), range 22-38 yrs.
3. Cycle of studies .
The majority of participants (80%) were undergraduate students, attending the 5th year of medical curriculum (46.4% of undergraduates).
4. Country
Equal number of students (28.6%) studied in German, Austrian and Greek Medical Faculties followed by students from Turkey (14.3%).
5. Nationality
Most participant students (34%) had a German nationality, studying mainly in German as well as Austrian (n=2) Institutions. The remaining students were of Greek (28.5%), Austrian (22.8%) and Turkish (14.2%) nationality.
6.Level of studies of undergraduate students according to their Institution
Undergraduate students from University of Ioannina and Crete (exclusively 6th year students) were in more advanced years of studies compared to students from Duesseldorf (last 2 years), Innsbruck (exclusively 5th year), Vienna (last 3 years) Erlangen (last 4 years) and Kocaeli (4th year).
